Choosing the best possible elementary school is critical to a child’s foundational development. In Texas, public school districts adopt curriculum standards set by the State Board of Education. When we compared Neff Ecc, which is a part of HOUSTON ISD, with Laurenzo Early Childhood Ctr, which is a part of HOUSTON ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.

Distinction Designations for Neff Ecc and Laurenzo Early Childhood Ctr are not applicable as neither one earned a recognition for outstanding achievement in seven categories.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Neff Ecc is Hispanics who make up nearly 86.84% of student population, followed by African Americans (7.54%), Asians (3.33%), Whites or Caucasians (1.93%), Native Americans (0.18%) and Two or More Races (0.18%).
At Laurenzo Early Childhood Ctr, Hispanics make up 96.26% of student population, followed by African Americans (2.67%), Whites or Caucasians (0.53%) and Two or More Races (0.53%). There is no Asians and Native Americansstudents in the school.
Based on household incomes, Neff Ecc’s economically disadvantaged students is higher at 95.79% compared to 95.72% at Laurenzo Early Childhood Ctr.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Neff Ecc has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 79.30% of its student population compared to 45.45% at Laurenzo Early Childhood Ctr.
Neff Ecc 3.51% are in the special education program, 1.05% are in the gifted and talented program, and bilingual students comprise 79.30% students. Laurenzo Early Childhood Ctr has no gifted and talented student, while 5.88% are in the special education program, and bilingual students comprise 85.56% students.
