Both schools garnered only five distinction designations or awards for outstanding performance. These are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Science, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Metcalf Elementary School. They make up for 61.77% of student population, followed by African Americans (21.59%), Asians (7.05%), Whites or Caucasians (6.90%), Two or More Races (1.50%) and Native Americans (1.20%).
At Hamilton Elementary School, Whites or Caucasians are the biggest group, comprising 54.44% of student population, followed by Hispanics (21.08%), African Americans (10.11%), Asians (10.02%), Two or More Races (4.06%) and Native Americans (0.28%).
Based on household incomes, Metcalf Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 83.21% compared to 22.40% at Hamilton Elementary School.
