Both schools garnered only three distinction designations or awards for performance. These are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Mathews Elementary School. They make up for 40.96% of student population, followed by Hispanics (36.45%), African Americans (8.43%), Asians (7.23%), Two or More Races (6.33%) and Native Americans (0.60%).
