When we compared Marine Creek Collegiate High School, which is a part of FORT WORTH ISD, with Benbrook Middle/High School, which is a part of FORT WORTH ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.

Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Both schools garnered only two distinction designations or awards for performance. For Marine Creek Collegiate High School these are in with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps while Benbrook Middle/High School secured in Mathematics and Social Studies.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Marine Creek Collegiate High School is Hispanics who make up nearly 84.68% of student population, followed by African Americans (7.26%), Whites or Caucasians (6.72%), Asians (1.08%) and Two or More Races (0.27%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
The student population at Benbrook Middle/High School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 49.67%, followed by Hispanics (38.24%), African Americans (7.12%), Two or More Races (3.20%), Asians (1.31%) and Native Americans (0.39%).
Based on household incomes, Marine Creek Collegiate High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 82.80% compared to 51.70% at Benbrook Middle/High School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Marine Creek Collegiate High School has 82 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 22.04% of student population. Benbrook Middle/High School has significantly more ELLs at 169 or about 11.05% of student population.
Marine Creek Collegiate High School’s bilingual students comprise 21.51%, gifted and talented students, 36.02%, while 2.15% are in the special education program.
