Marine Creek Collegiate High School’s regular student population is 372 with a student-teacher ratio of 22.4 students/teacher ratio. The student population at Arlington Heights High School is 1,872 students and a student-teacher ratio of 15.2 students/teacher ratio.
Marine Creek Collegiate High School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
It is in this area where the two schools differ. Marine Creek Collegiate High School's two out of seven distinctions are in with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Except for with 25% student progress, Arlington Heights High School earned one out of seven distinctions.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Marine Creek Collegiate High School is Hispanics who make up nearly 84.68% of student population, followed by African Americans (7.26%), Whites or Caucasians (6.72%), Asians (1.08%) and Two or More Races (0.27%). Based on household incomes, Marine Creek Collegiate High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 82.80% compared to 71.74% at Arlington Heights High School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Marine Creek Collegiate High School has 82 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 22.04% of student population. Arlington Heights High School has significantly more ELLs at 349 or about 18.64% of student population.
