Both schools garnered only four distinction designations or awards for outstanding performance. For Mahaffey Elementary School these are in Mathematics, Science, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps while Benignus Elementary School secured in Mathematics, Science, post-secondary and with 25% student progress.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Mahaffey Elementary School. They make up for 48.52% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (33.98%), African Americans (10.00%), Two or More Races (3.75%), Asians (3.30%) and Native Americans (0.34%).
