Mabank Junior High School earned a State accountability rating of B (80-89) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Mabank Junior High School's four out of seven distinctions are in Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and post-secondary. Scurry-rosser Middle School did not earn any distinction.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Mabank Junior High School. They make up for 62.88% of student population, followed by Hispanics (26.84%), African Americans (4.45%), Two or More Races (4.45%), Asians (1.07%) and Native Americans (0.31%).

At Scurry-rosser Middle School, Whites or Caucasians make up 66.67% of student population, followed by Hispanics (26.25%), Two or More Races (3.41%), African Americans (3.15%) and Native Americans (0.26%). There is no Asians student in the school.

Based on household incomes, Mabank Junior High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 69.17% compared to 41.21% at Scurry-rosser Middle School.
