Both schools garnered only two distinction designations or awards for performance. For Loraine T Golbow Elementary School these are in post-secondary and 25% closing performance gaps while Stanley C Stanley Elementary School secured in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA) and 25% closing performance gaps.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Loraine T Golbow Elementary School. They make up for 42.32% of student population, followed by African Americans (28.49%), Whites or Caucasians (17.00%), Asians (8.91%), Two or More Races (2.70%) and Native Americans (0.35%).
The student population at Stanley C Stanley Elementary School is also predominantly by Asians at 38.49%, followed by Whites or Caucasians (35.89%), Hispanics (15.98%), African Americans (5.08%), Two or More Races (4.46%) and Native Americans (0.10%).
Based on household incomes, Loraine T Golbow Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 71.40% compared to 13.17% at Stanley C Stanley Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Loraine T Golbow Elementary School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 29.89% of its student population compared to 22.20% at Stanley C Stanley Elementary School.
In addition, Loraine T Golbow Elementary School has 29.07% bilingual students, 1.29% are in the gifted and talented program, while 17.94% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Stanley C Stanley Elementary School with 21.89% bilingual students, 9.44% gifted and talented students and 12.66% students in the special education program.
