Old Settlers Elementary School's four out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Lewisville Elementary School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Lewisville Elementary School. They make up for 61.73% of student population, followed by African Americans (27.39%), Whites or Caucasians (4.32%), Two or More Races (3.94%) and Asians (2.63%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
At Old Settlers Elementary School, Whites or Caucasians are the biggest group, comprising 60.16% of student population, followed by Asians (18.34%), Hispanics (10.45%), Two or More Races (8.68%) and African Americans (1.78%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
Based on household incomes, Lewisville Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 82.18% compared to 8.09% at Old Settlers Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Lewisville Elementary School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 49.16% of its student population compared to 5.13% at Old Settlers Elementary School.
In addition, Lewisville Elementary School has 49.16% bilingual students, 3.56% are in the gifted and talented program, while 21.39% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Old Settlers Elementary School with 4.93% bilingual students, 8.28% gifted and talented students and 21.30% students in the special education program.
