Lakewood Elementary School has a regular student population of 915 with a 14.9 students/teacher ratio while Everette Lee Degolyer Elementary School has 363 students and a student-teacher ratio of 13.3 students/teacher ratio.

Lakewood Elementary School's six out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Everette Lee Degolyer Elementary School’s two out of seven distinctions are in Mathematics and post-secondary.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Lakewood Elementary School is Whites or Caucasians who make up nearly 78.91% of student population, followed by Hispanics (11.26%), Two or More Races (5.03%), Asians (1.75%), African Americans (1.64%) and Native Americans (1.31%).
At Everette Lee Degolyer Elementary School, Hispanics are the biggest group, comprising 59.78% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (30.30%), African Americans (4.41%), Two or More Races (3.03%), Asians (1.93%) and Native Americans (0.55%).
Based on household incomes, the Lakewood Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 5.79% compared to 55.37% at Everette Lee Degolyer Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Lakewood Elementary School has 29 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 3.17% of student population. Everette Lee Degolyer Elementary School has significantly more ELLs at 120 or about 33.06% of student population.
