Klein Forest High School’s regular student population is 3,409 with a student-teacher ratio of 13.2 students/teacher ratio. The student population at Klein High School is 3,184 students and a student-teacher ratio of 15.4 students/teacher ratio.
Klein Forest High School earned a State accountability rating of C (70-79) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 70 in student achievement, 76 in school progress and 61 in closing performance gaps. It scored 72 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.
On the other hand, Klein High School earned a State accountability rating of B. The school posted 90 in student achievement, 85 in school progress, 88 in closing performance gaps and 89 overall in post-secondary readiness.
A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Klein High School's four out of seven distinctions are in Mathematics, Science, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Klein Forest High School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Klein Forest High School is Hispanics who make up nearly 66.21% of student population, followed by African Americans (21.68%), Asians (6.95%), Whites or Caucasians (2.76%), Two or More Races (1.53%) and Native Americans (0.79%).
The student population at Klein High School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 33.20%, followed by Hispanics (32.10%), African Americans (18.53%), Asians (10.87%), Two or More Races (4.90%) and Native Americans (0.28%).
Based on household incomes, Klein Forest High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 79.00% compared to 41.61% at Klein High School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Klein Forest High School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 27.57% of its student population compared to 7.38% at Klein High School.
In addition, Klein Forest High School has 26.69% bilingual students, 3.61% are in the gifted and talented program, while 10.00% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Klein High School with 6.91% bilingual students, 6.63% gifted and talented students and 9.70% students in the special education program.
Klein Forest High School's 257 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 5.9 years with individual teaching experience averaging nearly 10.8 years. Klein High School's 206 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 8.4 years with individual teaching experience averaging close to 13 years.
