Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Klein Cain High School's one out of seven distinction is in with 25% student progress. Klein Forest High School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Klein Forest High School is Hispanics who make up nearly 66.21% of student population, followed by African Americans (21.68%), Asians (6.95%), Whites or Caucasians (2.76%), Two or More Races (1.53%) and Native Americans (0.79%).
The student population at Klein Cain High School is also predominantly by Hispanics at 38.67%, followed by Whites or Caucasians (32.92%), African Americans (14.33%), Asians (10.29%), Two or More Races (3.28%) and Native Americans (0.37%).
Based on household incomes, Klein Forest High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 79.00% compared to 40.35% at Klein Cain High School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Klein Forest High School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 27.57% of its student population compared to 8.30% at Klein Cain High School.
In addition, Klein Forest High School has 26.69% bilingual students, 3.61% are in the gifted and talented program, while 10.00% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Klein Cain High School with 7.69% bilingual students, 6.96% gifted and talented students and 9.03% students in the special education program.
