When we compared Idea Lake Houston Academy, which is a part of IDEA PUBLIC SCHOOLS, with Idea Mesa Hills Academy, which is a part of IDEA PUBLIC SCHOOLS, we noted a huge gap in ratings.
Idea Lake Houston Academy has a regular student population of 333 with a 22.4 students/teacher ratio while Idea Mesa Hills Academy has 611 students and a student-teacher ratio of 19.9 students/teacher ratio.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Idea Lake Houston Academy. They make up for 62.46% of student population, followed by African Americans (36.04%) and Whites or Caucasians (1.20%). There is no Asians, Native Americans and Two or More Racesstudents in the school.
At Idea Mesa Hills Academy, Hispanics make up 83.31% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (11.62%), African Americans (3.44%), Asians (0.98%) and Two or More Races (0.49%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
Based on household incomes, Idea Lake Houston Academy’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 84.98% compared to 68.90% at Idea Mesa Hills Academy.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Idea Lake Houston Academy has 113 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 33.93% of student population. Idea Mesa Hills Academy has significantly more ELLs at 233 or about 38.13% of student population.
Idea Lake Houston Academy has no gifted and talented student, while 6.01% are in the special education program, and bilingual students comprise 32.13% students. Idea Mesa Hills Academy has no gifted and talented student, while 7.69% are in the special education program, and bilingual students comprise 34.53% students.
