Choosing the best possible elementary school is critical to a child’s foundational development. In Texas, public school districts adopt curriculum standards set by the State Board of Education. When we compared Idea Hardy Academy, which is a part of IDEA PUBLIC SCHOOLS, with Idea Pflugerville Academy, which is a part of IDEA PUBLIC SCHOOLS, we noted a big difference in ratings.
Idea Hardy Academy has a regular student population of 591 with a 25.9 students/teacher ratio while Idea Pflugerville Academy has 630 students and a student-teacher ratio of 20.5 students/teacher ratio.

It is in this area where the two schools differ. Except for Science, Idea Hardy Academy earned one out of seven distinctions. Idea Pflugerville Academy's two out of seven distinctions are in Science and with 25% student progress.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Idea Hardy Academy is Hispanics who make up nearly 77.66% of student population, followed by African Americans (18.27%), Whites or Caucasians (3.72%), Asians (0.17%) and Two or More Races (0.17%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
At Idea Pflugerville Academy, Hispanics are the biggest group, comprising 62.38% of student population, followed by African Americans (19.84%), Whites or Caucasians (10.48%), Asians (5.56%) and Two or More Races (1.59%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
Based on household incomes, Idea Hardy Academy’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly higher at 83.93% compared to 73.97% at Idea Pflugerville Academy.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Idea Hardy Academy has 272 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 46.02% of student population. Idea Pflugerville Academy has significantly more ELLs at 297 or about 47.14% of student population.
Idea Hardy Academy has no gifted and talented student, while 7.28% are in the special education program, and bilingual students comprise 45.52% students.
