It is in this area where the two schools differ. Hector P Garcia Middle School's three out of seven distinctions are in Mathematics, post-secondary and 25% closing performance gaps. L V Stockard Middle School’s only distinction designation is in Mathematics.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Hector P Garcia Middle School is Hispanics who make up nearly 94.35% of student population, followed by African Americans (4.03%), Whites or Caucasians (1.13%), Native Americans (0.32%) and Asians (0.16%). There is no Two or More Races student in the school.
