Hector P Garcia Middle School's three out of seven distinctions are in Mathematics, post-secondary and 25% closing performance gaps. E B Comstock Middle School did not earn any distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Hector P Garcia Middle School is Hispanics who make up nearly 94.35% of student population, followed by African Americans (4.03%), Whites or Caucasians (1.13%), Native Americans (0.32%) and Asians (0.16%). There is no Two or More Races student in the school.
At E B Comstock Middle School, Hispanics make up 70.53% of student population, followed by African Americans (27.47%), Whites or Caucasians (1.20%), Two or More Races (0.53%), Asians (0.13%) and Native Americans (0.13%).
Based on household incomes, the Hector P Garcia Middle School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly lower at 95.16% compared to 99.73% at E B Comstock Middle School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Hector P Garcia Middle School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 70.81% of its student population compared to 54.27% at E B Comstock Middle School.
