Choosing the best possible elementary school is critical to a child’s foundational development. In Texas, public school districts adopt curriculum standards set by the State Board of Education. When we compared Evans Ses, which is a part of CORPUS CHRISTI ISD, with Yeager Elementary School, which is a part of CORPUS CHRISTI ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.

Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Yeager Elementary School's one out of seven distinction is in Science. Evans Ses has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Evans Ses is Hispanics who make up nearly 88.94% of student population, followed by African Americans (6.64%), Whites or Caucasians (3.54%) and Two or More Races (0.88%). There is no Asians and Native Americansstudents in the school.
At Yeager Elementary School, Hispanics make up 84.06% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (13.41%), African Americans (1.09%), Two or More Races (1.09%) and Asians (0.36%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
Based on household incomes, Evans Ses’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly higher at 95.58% compared to 86.23% at Yeager Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Evans Ses has 14 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 6.19% of student population. Yeager Elementary School has more ELLs at 21 or about 7.61% of student population.
Evans Ses has no gifted and talented student, while 8.41% are in the special education program, and bilingual students comprise 5.75% students.
