It is in this area where the two schools differ. Diane Winborn Elementary School’s two out of seven distinctions are in Science and 25% closing performance gaps. James E Randolph Elementary School's three out of seven distinctions are in Science, post-secondary and 25% closing performance gaps.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Diane Winborn Elementary School. At James E Randolph Elementary School, Whites or Caucasians are the biggest group, comprising 56.73% of student population, followed by Hispanics (16.88%), Asians (16.05%), Two or More Races (6.37%) and African Americans (3.87%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
Based on household incomes, Diane Winborn Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 61.80% compared to 6.64% at James E Randolph Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Diane Winborn Elementary School has 95 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 14.01% of student population. James E Randolph Elementary School has significantly more ELLs at 128 or about 11.81% of student population.
In addition, Diane Winborn Elementary School has 13.57% bilingual students, 2.51% are in the gifted and talented program, while 21.68% are in the special education program.
