Davis Elementary School's two out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA) and post-secondary. Sheffield Elementary School did not earn any distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Davis Elementary School is Hispanics who make up nearly 76.08% of student population, followed by African Americans (10.99%), Whites or Caucasians (6.68%), Asians (3.88%), Two or More Races (1.72%) and Native Americans (0.65%).
The student population at Sheffield Elementary School is also predominantly by African Americans at 48.93%, followed by Hispanics (40.77%), Two or More Races (4.72%), Whites or Caucasians (3.00%), Asians (1.72%) and Native Americans (0.43%).
Based on household incomes, the Davis Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly lower at 80.17% compared to 87.34% at Sheffield Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Davis Elementary School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 65.95% of its student population compared to 28.54% at Sheffield Elementary School.
In addition, Davis Elementary School has 67.24% bilingual students, 2.80% are in the gifted and talented program, while 13.79% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Sheffield Elementary School with 28.76% bilingual students, 3.65% gifted and talented students and 17.81% students in the special education program.
