When we compared Clifton Middle School, which is a part of HOUSTON ISD, with Forest Brook Middle School, which is a part of HOUSTON ISD, we noted a huge gap in ratings.
Clifton Middle School’s regular student population is 555 with a 16.1 students/teacher ratio. The student population at Forest Brook Middle School is 742 students and a 20.5 students/teacher ratio.

Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Distinction Designations for Clifton Middle School and Forest Brook Middle School are not applicable as neither one earned a recognition for outstanding achievement in seven categories.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Clifton Middle School is Hispanics who make up nearly 80.00% of student population, followed by African Americans (15.50%), Whites or Caucasians (1.80%), Two or More Races (1.62%), Asians (0.72%) and Native Americans (0.36%).
At Forest Brook Middle School, African Americans are the biggest group, comprising 56.74% of student population, followed by Hispanics (40.30%), Whites or Caucasians (1.62%), Two or More Races (0.81%), Asians (0.27%) and Native Americans (0.27%).
Based on household incomes, Clifton Middle School’s economically disadvantaged students is higher at 98.56% compared to 98.52% at Forest Brook Middle School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Clifton Middle School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 47.03% of its student population compared to 25.07% at Forest Brook Middle School.
