Choosing the best possible elementary school is critical to a child’s foundational development. In Texas, public school districts adopt curriculum standards set by the State Board of Education. When we compared Burnett Elementary School, which is a part of PASADENA ISD, with Frazier Elementary School, which is a part of PASADENA ISD, we noted a big difference in ratings.
Burnett Elementary School has a regular student population of 501 with a 11.3 students/teacher ratio while Frazier Elementary School has 424 students and a student-teacher ratio of 11.4 students/teacher ratio.

Frazier Elementary School's five out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Burnett Elementary School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Burnett Elementary School is Hispanics who make up nearly 73.85% of student population, followed by African Americans (14.17%), Asians (4.99%), Whites or Caucasians (4.79%) and Two or More Races (2.20%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
At Frazier Elementary School, Hispanics make up 78.77% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (8.49%), African Americans (8.25%), Asians (2.83%) and Two or More Races (1.42%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
Based on household incomes, Burnett Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly higher at 83.43% compared to 74.76% at Frazier Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Burnett Elementary School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 33.93% of its student population compared to 22.41% at Frazier Elementary School.
In addition, Burnett Elementary School has 30.94% bilingual students, 2.79% are in the gifted and talented program, while 18.36% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Frazier Elementary School with 16.27% bilingual students, 4.25% gifted and talented students and 16.04% students in the special education program.
