Briarmeadow Charter bagged all seven distinction awards in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Briargrove Elementary School’s two out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA) and with 25% student progress.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Briarmeadow Charter. They make up for 32.45% of student population, followed by Hispanics (28.37%), Asians (26.42%), African Americans (7.98%), Two or More Races (4.43%) and Native Americans (0.18%).
The student population at Briargrove Elementary School is also predominantly by Hispanics at 33.74%, followed by Whites or Caucasians (24.01%), African Americans (20.20%), Asians (16.50%), Two or More Races (5.42%) and Native Americans (0.12%).
Based on household incomes, the Briarmeadow Charter’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly lower at 46.45% compared to 51.23% at Briargrove Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Briarmeadow Charter has 186 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 32.98% of student population. Briargrove Elementary School has significantly more ELLs at 241 or about 29.68% of student population.
