Brandeis High School’s regular student population is 2,656 with a student-teacher ratio of 16.9 students/teacher ratio. The student population at Stevens High School is 2,545 students and a student-teacher ratio of 15 students/teacher ratio.

Performance Indicators

Brandeis High School earned a State accountability rating of B (80-89) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 82 in student achievement, 82 in school progress and 92 in closing performance gaps. It scored 85 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Stevens High School earned a State accountability rating of D. The school posted 65 in student achievement, 81 in school progress, 69 in closing performance gaps and 69 overall in post-secondary readiness.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Brandeis High School. They make up for 55.42% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (24.59%), Asians (9.86%), African Americans (5.69%), Two or More Races (3.88%) and Native Americans (0.38%).

At Stevens High School, Hispanics make up 80.47% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (9.31%), African Americans (6.56%), Two or More Races (2.24%), Asians (1.10%) and Native Americans (0.20%).

Based on household incomes, the Brandeis High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 26.13% compared to 61.06% at Stevens High School.
