When we compared Bowie Elementary School, which is a part of SAN ANGELO ISD, with Austin Elementary School, which is a part of SAN ANGELO ISD, we noted a wide disparity in ratings.

Distinction Designations for Bowie Elementary School and Austin Elementary School are not applicable as neither one earned a recognition for outstanding achievement in seven categories.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Bowie Elementary School. They make up for 47.59% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (44.12%), African Americans (4.28%), Two or More Races (2.14%) and Asians (1.87%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
At Austin Elementary School, Hispanics make up 68.48% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (26.90%), African Americans (1.90%), Asians (1.63%) and Two or More Races (1.09%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
Based on household incomes, the Bowie Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 63.37% compared to 82.88% at Austin Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Bowie Elementary School has 6 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 1.60% of student population. Austin Elementary School has more ELLs at 13 or about 3.53% of student population.
Bowie Elementary School has no gifted and talented student, while 9.63% are in the special education program, and bilingual students comprise 1.60% students.
