Choosing the best possible elementary school is critical to a child’s foundational development. In Texas, public school districts adopt curriculum standards set by the State Board of Education. When we compared Bear Branch Elementary School, which is a part of HUMBLE ISD, with Willow Creek Elementary School, which is a part of HUMBLE ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.
Bear Branch Elementary School has a regular student population of 638 with a 15.2 students/teacher ratio while Willow Creek Elementary School has 559 students and a student-teacher ratio of 15.1 students/teacher ratio.

Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Willow Creek Elementary School's two out of seven distinctions are in Science and 25% closing performance gaps. Bear Branch Elementary School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Bear Branch Elementary School. They make up for 65.20% of student population, followed by Hispanics (26.80%), Two or More Races (3.92%), African Americans (2.51%), Asians (0.94%) and Native Americans (0.16%).
At Willow Creek Elementary School, Whites or Caucasians make up 75.31% of student population, followed by Hispanics (15.03%), Two or More Races (5.37%), African Americans (2.50%) and Asians (1.61%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
Based on household incomes, Bear Branch Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly higher at 14.42% compared to 5.90% at Willow Creek Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Bear Branch Elementary School has a higher number of English Language Learners comprising 2.82% of its student population compared to 2.15% at Willow Creek Elementary School.
Bear Branch Elementary School’s bilingual students comprise 2.82%, gifted and talented students, 13.48%, while 12.23% are in the special education program. Willow Creek Elementary School bilingual students comprise 1.97%, gifted and talented students, 12.52%, and 13.60% are in the special education program.
