Victoria Walker Elementary School's two out of seven distinctions are in post-secondary and 25% closing performance gaps. Banuelos Elementary School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Banuelos Elementary School. They make up for 59.16% of student population, followed by African Americans (20.79%), Whites or Caucasians (13.72%), Two or More Races (3.64%), Asians (2.14%) and Native Americans (0.32%).
At Victoria Walker Elementary School, Hispanics are the biggest group, comprising 56.36% of student population, followed by African Americans (17.40%), Whites or Caucasians (16.49%), Asians (6.10%), Two or More Races (3.25%) and Native Americans (0.26%).
Based on household incomes, Banuelos Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly higher at 66.35% compared to 60.78% at Victoria Walker Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Banuelos Elementary School has a slightly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 22.62% of its student population compared to 24.81% at Victoria Walker Elementary School.
Banuelos Elementary School’s bilingual students comprise 22.19%, gifted and talented students, 7.40%, while 10.93% are in the special education program. Victoria Walker Elementary School bilingual students comprise 23.90%, gifted and talented students, 7.27%, and 15.06% are in the special education program.
