Distinction Designations for Anderson Academy and Bussey Elementary School are not applicable as neither one earned a recognition for outstanding achievement in seven categories.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, African Americans comprise the biggest group at Anderson Academy. They make up for 55.42% of student population, followed by Hispanics (38.93%), Two or More Races (3.05%), Whites or Caucasians (1.98%), Native Americans (0.46%) and Asians (0.15%).
At Bussey Elementary School, Hispanics make up 96.36% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (1.53%), African Americans (0.96%), Asians (0.57%) and Two or More Races (0.57%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
Based on household incomes, Anderson Academy’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly higher at 93.13% compared to 88.89% at Bussey Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Anderson Academy has 169 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 25.80% of student population. Bussey Elementary School has significantly more ELLs at 396 or about 75.86% of student population.
