Westwood High School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 96 in student achievement, 93 in school progress and 96 in closing performance gaps. It scored 96 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Round Rock High School also performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A. The school posted 95 in student achievement, 89 in school progress, 94 in closing performance gaps and 95 overall in post-secondary readiness.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

It is in this area where the two schools differ. Westwood High School's six out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, post-secondary and 25% closing performance gaps. Round Rock High School’s five out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and post-secondary.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Asians comprise the biggest group at Westwood High School. They make up for 38.76% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (33.47%), Hispanics (19.40%), Two or More Races (5.22%), African Americans (2.80%) and Native Americans (0.21%).

The student population at Round Rock High School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 38.61%, followed by Asians (28.83%), Hispanics (24.27%), Two or More Races (4.33%), African Americans (3.67%) and Native Americans (0.24%).

Based on household incomes, the Westwood High School’s economically disadvantaged students is lower at 12.46% compared to 13.33% at Round Rock High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Westwood High School has 258 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 9.03% of student population. Round Rock High School has slightly more ELLs at 270 or about 7.08% of student population.
