Small Middle School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Distinction Designations for Small Middle School and General Marshall Middle School are not applicable as neither one earned a recognition for outstanding achievement in seven categories.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Small Middle School. They make up for 47.33% of student population, followed by Hispanics (41.18%), Two or More Races (5.19%), Asians (3.35%), African Americans (2.87%) and Native Americans (0.08%).
