Anderson High School earned a State accountability rating of B (80-89) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 91 in student achievement, 83 in school progress and 82 in closing performance gaps. It scored 88 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

Vandegrift High School's five out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and post-secondary.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Anderson High School. They make up for 53.29% of student population, followed by Hispanics (30.09%), Asians (6.85%), Two or More Races (4.86%), African Americans (4.59%) and Native Americans (0.09%).

At Vandegrift High School, Whites or Caucasians are the biggest group, comprising 56.61% of student population, followed by Hispanics (17.26%), Asians (15.41%), Two or More Races (6.08%), African Americans (4.40%) and Native Americans (0.08%).

Based on household incomes, Anderson High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 25.68% compared to 8.05% at Vandegrift High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Anderson High School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 11.85% of its student population compared to 2.71% at Vandegrift High School.

In addition, Anderson High School has 11.62% bilingual students, 17.52% are in the gifted and talented program, while 11.31% are in the special education program.
