Grand Oaks High School earned a State accountability rating of B (80-89) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 85 in student achievement, 77 in school progress and 86 in closing performance gaps. It scored 85 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, The Woodlands High School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A. The school posted 93 in student achievement, 88 in school progress, 94 in closing performance gaps and 93 overall in post-secondary readiness.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

The Woodlands High School's five out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and post-secondary. Grand Oaks High School has no distinction.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Grand Oaks High School. They make up for 46.68% of student population, followed by Hispanics (27.42%), African Americans (15.93%), Asians (5.07%), Two or More Races (4.18%) and Native Americans (0.16%).

The student population at The Woodlands High School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 51.51%, followed by Hispanics (29.66%), Asians (9.43%), African Americans (4.89%), Two or More Races (4.01%) and Native Americans (0.38%).

Based on household incomes, Grand Oaks High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 22.51% compared to 11.91% at The Woodlands High School.
