Tomball Star Academy performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 97 in student achievement, 98 in school progress and an impressive100 in closing performance gaps. It scored 99 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Early Excellence Academy also performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A. The school posted only 96 overall in post-secondary readiness.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

Tomball Star Academy's seven out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Early Excellence Academy did not earn any distinction.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Tomball Star Academy. They make up for 36.32% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (35.57%), Asians (17.16%), African Americans (5.97%), Two or More Races (4.23%) and Native Americans (0.50%).

At Early Excellence Academy, Hispanics are the biggest group, comprising 56.16% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (24.20%), Asians (7.76%), African Americans (5.48%), Two or More Races (5.48%) and Native Americans (0.91%).

Based on household incomes, the Tomball Star Academy’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 28.36% compared to 74.89% at Early Excellence Academy.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Tomball Star Academy has 5 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 1.24% of student population. Early Excellence Academy has significantly more ELLs at 114 or about 52.05% of student population.

Tomball Star Academy 1.99% are in the special education program, 16.17% are in the gifted and talented program, and bilingual students comprise 1.24% students.
