When we compared Park View Intermediate, which is a part of PASADENA ISD, with Miller Intermediate, which is a part of PASADENA ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.
Park View Intermediate’s regular student population is 532 with a 13.2 students/teacher ratio. The student population at Miller Intermediate is 780 students and a 13.4 students/teacher ratio.
Park View Intermediate earned a State accountability rating of B (80-89) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 74 in student achievement, 85 in school progress and 81 in closing performance gaps. It scored 84 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.
On the other hand, Miller Intermediate performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A. The school posted 80 in student achievement, 90 in school progress, 91 in closing performance gaps and 90 overall in post-secondary readiness.

Teachers at Miller Intermediate, numbering 58 teachers, have been serving the school for an average of 7.4 years with individual teaching experience averaging 9 years.
Of its teaching staff, Park View Intermediate no teacher serving the school for over 30 years, has four teachers serving the school for 20-30 years, 13 teachers have worked for 11-20 years, eight teachers have worked for 6-10 years, while 14 teachers have been serving the school for over 1-5 years, including two beginning teachers.
