Beverly Hills Intermediate performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 79 in student achievement, 89 in school progress and 92 in closing performance gaps. It scored 90 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Thompson Intermediate earned a State accountability rating of B. The school posted 81 in student achievement, 87 in school progress, 91 in closing performance gaps and 88 overall in post-secondary readiness.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

It is in this area where the two schools differ. Beverly Hills Intermediate’s three out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), post-secondary and 25% closing performance gaps. Thompson Intermediate's four out of seven distinctions are in Science, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Beverly Hills Intermediate is Hispanics who make up nearly 68.83% of student population, followed by African Americans (18.58%), Asians (6.86%), Whites or Caucasians (4.86%), Two or More Races (0.75%) and Native Americans (0.12%).

At Thompson Intermediate, Hispanics make up 67.87% of student population, followed by African Americans (14.87%), Asians (8.51%), Whites or Caucasians (6.00%), Two or More Races (2.16%) and Native Americans (0.24%).

Based on household incomes, Beverly Hills Intermediate’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 79.68% compared to 65.71% at Thompson Intermediate.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Beverly Hills Intermediate has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 30.55% of its student population compared to 23.50% at Thompson Intermediate.

In addition, Beverly Hills Intermediate has 27.31% bilingual students, 7.36% are in the gifted and talented program, while 14.71% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Thompson Intermediate with 18.35% bilingual students, 10.91% gifted and talented students and 14.75% students in the special education program.

Beverly Hills Intermediate's 65 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 11.1 years with individual teaching experience averaging 13.3 years.
