Tompkins High School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 94 in student achievement, 90 in school progress and 96 in closing performance gaps. It scored 95 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Stratford High School earned a State accountability rating of B. The school posted 88 in student achievement, 88 in school progress, 87 in closing performance gaps and 88 overall in post-secondary readiness.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

It is in this area where the two schools differ. Tompkins High School bagged all seven distinction awards in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Stratford High School’s four out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Asians comprise the biggest group at Tompkins High School. They make up for 34.91% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (29.90%), Hispanics (22.29%), African Americans (9.35%), Two or More Races (3.20%) and Native Americans (0.29%).

The student population at Stratford High School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 46.70%, followed by Hispanics (33.70%), African Americans (10.28%), Asians (5.89%), Two or More Races (3.14%) and Native Americans (0.29%).

Based on household incomes, the Tompkins High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 16.74% compared to 32.15% at Stratford High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Tompkins High School has 193 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 6.12% of student population. Stratford High School has significantly more ELLs at 384 or about 16.05% of student population.

Tompkins High School’s bilingual students comprise 5.90%, gifted and talented students, 19.66%, while 8.72% are in the special education program. Stratford High School bilingual students comprise 15.68%, gifted and talented students, 18.52%, and 8.74% are in the special education program.

Stratford High School's 125 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 7.6 years with individual teaching experience averaging close to 12.6 years.
