Tompkins High School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 94 in student achievement, 90 in school progress and 96 in closing performance gaps. It scored 95 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Seven Lakes High School also performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A. The school posted 95 in student achievement, 92 in school progress, 98 in closing performance gaps and 96 overall in post-secondary readiness.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

Both schools garnered all of seven distinction designations or awards for outstanding performance. These are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Asians comprise the biggest group at Tompkins High School. They make up for 34.91% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (29.90%), Hispanics (22.29%), African Americans (9.35%), Two or More Races (3.20%) and Native Americans (0.29%).

The student population at Seven Lakes High School is also predominantly by Asians at 35.33%, followed by Whites or Caucasians (29.29%), Hispanics (23.40%), African Americans (7.71%), Two or More Races (3.98%) and Native Americans (0.24%).

Based on household incomes, the Tompkins High School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly lower at 16.74% compared to 22.24% at Seven Lakes High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Tompkins High School has 193 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 6.12% of student population. Seven Lakes High School has significantly more ELLs at 343 or about 9.09% of student population.

In addition, Tompkins High School has 5.90% bilingual students, 19.66% are in the gifted and talented program, while 8.72% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Seven Lakes High School with 8.72% bilingual students, 20.41% gifted and talented students and 8.83% students in the special education program.
