Jones Futures Academy earned a State accountability rating of B (80-89) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 82 in student achievement, 86 in school progress and 88 in closing performance gaps. It scored 87 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Westside High School also earned a State accountability rating of B. The school posted 79 in student achievement, 87 in school progress, 92 in closing performance gaps and 89 overall in post-secondary readiness.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

It is in this area where the two schools differ. Jones Futures Academy’s only distinction designation is in Comparative Closing the Gaps. Westside High School's seven out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Jones Futures Academy is Hispanics who make up nearly 70.61% of student population, followed by African Americans (27.36%), Whites or Caucasians (1.35%) and Two or More Races (0.68%). There is no Asians and Native Americansstudents in the school.

The student population at Westside High School is also predominantly by Hispanics at 44.82%, followed by African Americans (31.65%), Whites or Caucasians (12.61%), Asians (7.21%), Two or More Races (3.27%) and Native Americans (0.22%).

Based on household incomes, Jones Futures Academy’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 94.26% compared to 67.24% at Westside High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Jones Futures Academy has 123 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 41.55% of student population. Westside High School has significantly more ELLs at 723 or about 26.58% of student population.

In addition, Jones Futures Academy has 39.86% bilingual students, 12.84% are in the gifted and talented program, while 16.22% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Westside High School with 26.21% bilingual students, 19.49% gifted and talented students and 7.39% students in the special education program.

Jones Futures Academy's 25 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 6.8 years with individual teaching experience averaging nearly 12.8 years. Westside High School's 145 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 8.2 years with individual teaching experience averaging close to 12.4 years.

Of its teaching staff, Jones Futures Academy has one teacher only serving the school for over 30 years, has four teachers serving the school for 20-30 years, ten teachers have worked for 11-20 years, six teachers have worked for 6-10 years, while three teachers have been serving the school for over 1-5 years, including one beginning teacher only. Westside High School has five teachers serving the school for over 30 years, has 31 teachers serving the school for 20-30 years, 34 teachers have worked for 11-20 years, 29 teachers have worked for 6-10 years, while 29 teachers have been serving the school for over 1-5 years, including 18 beginning teachers.

In both schools, female teachers outnumber the male teachers. Jones Futures Academy employs 14 female teachers and ten male teachers. Of its teaching staff, four special education teachers are being assisted by four teachers aides or paraprofessionals. The school also employs two staff members in the school administration department and three more working as school support staff.

On the other hand, Westside High School employs 78 female teachers and 66 male teachers. Of its teaching staff, four special education teachers are being assisted by 11 teachers aides or paraprofessionals. The school also employs ten staff members in the school administration department and seven more working as school support staff.
