Cypress Park High School earned a State accountability rating of B (80-89) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 77 in student achievement, 83 in school progress and 89 in closing performance gaps. It scored 85 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

It is in this area where the two schools differ. Cypress Park High School’s only distinction designation is in Comparative Academic Growth. Cypress Ridge High School's six out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Cypress Park High School. They make up for 57.27% of student population, followed by African Americans (29.29%), Whites or Caucasians (5.52%), Asians (4.88%), Two or More Races (2.37%) and Native Americans (0.48%).

At Cypress Ridge High School, Hispanics are the biggest group, comprising 62.73% of student population, followed by African Americans (20.45%), Whites or Caucasians (7.13%), Asians (6.61%), Two or More Races (1.99%) and Native Americans (0.94%).

Based on household incomes, the Cypress Park High School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly lower at 71.51% compared to 79.37% at Cypress Ridge High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Cypress Park High School has 610 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 19.57% of student population. Cypress Ridge High School has significantly more ELLs at 695 or about 24.30% of student population.
