Cypress Ranch High School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 90 in student achievement, 89 in school progress and 94 in closing performance gaps. It scored 91 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

It is in this area where the two schools differ. Cypress Ranch High School's two out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA) and with 25% student progress. Except for Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Cypress Park High School earned one out of seven distinctions.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Cypress Ranch High School. They make up for 28.61% of student population, followed by Hispanics (26.59%), Asians (22.60%), African Americans (17.72%), Two or More Races (3.96%) and Native Americans (0.38%).

At Cypress Park High School, Hispanics are the biggest group, comprising 57.27% of student population, followed by African Americans (29.29%), Whites or Caucasians (5.52%), Asians (4.88%), Two or More Races (2.37%) and Native Americans (0.48%).

Based on household incomes, the Cypress Ranch High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 27.08% compared to 71.51% at Cypress Park High School.
