Cypress Ranch High School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 90 in student achievement, 89 in school progress and 94 in closing performance gaps. It scored 91 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Cypress Creek High School earned a State accountability rating of B. The school posted 75 in student achievement, 81 in school progress, 90 in closing performance gaps and 84 overall in post-secondary readiness.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

It is in this area where the two schools differ. Cypress Ranch High School's two out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA) and with 25% student progress. Except for with 25% student progress, Cypress Creek High School earned one out of seven distinctions.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Cypress Ranch High School. They make up for 28.61% of student population, followed by Hispanics (26.59%), Asians (22.60%), African Americans (17.72%), Two or More Races (3.96%) and Native Americans (0.38%).

The student population at Cypress Creek High School is also predominantly by Hispanics at 41.25%, followed by African Americans (29.10%), Whites or Caucasians (16.57%), Asians (9.54%), Two or More Races (3.02%) and Native Americans (0.44%).

Based on household incomes, the Cypress Ranch High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 27.08% compared to 62.60% at Cypress Creek High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Cypress Ranch High School has 211 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 6.10% of student population. Cypress Creek High School has significantly more ELLs at 428 or about 13.30% of student population.

Cypress Ranch High School’s bilingual students comprise 5.64%, gifted and talented students, 16.53%, while 6.45% are in the special education program. Cypress Creek High School bilingual students comprise 12.25%, gifted and talented students, 6.93%, and 11.50% are in the special education program.

Cypress Ranch High School's 201 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 8.3 years with individual teaching experience averaging nearly 11.8 years. Cypress Creek High School's 210 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 8.3 years with individual teaching experience averaging close to 11.9 years.

Of its teaching staff, Cypress Ranch High School has six teachers serving the school for over 30 years, has 28 teachers serving the school for 20-30 years, 60 teachers have worked for 11-20 years, 53 teachers have worked for 6-10 years, while 48 teachers have been serving the school for over 1-5 years, including seven beginning teachers.
