Fulshear High School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 92 in student achievement, 88 in school progress and 94 in closing performance gaps. It scored 93 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Seven Lakes High School also performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A. The school posted 95 in student achievement, 92 in school progress, 98 in closing performance gaps and 96 overall in post-secondary readiness.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

It is in this area where the two schools differ. Fulshear High School’s two out of seven distinctions are in Social Studies and 25% closing performance gaps. Seven Lakes High School's seven out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Fulshear High School. They make up for 32.48% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (29.30%), African Americans (23.36%), Asians (9.94%), Two or More Races (4.44%) and Native Americans (0.29%).

The student population at Seven Lakes High School is also predominantly by Asians at 35.33%, followed by Whites or Caucasians (29.29%), Hispanics (23.40%), African Americans (7.71%), Two or More Races (3.98%) and Native Americans (0.24%).

Based on household incomes, Fulshear High School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly higher at 28.04% compared to 22.24% at Seven Lakes High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Fulshear High School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 12.42% of its student population compared to 9.09% at Seven Lakes High School.

In addition, Fulshear High School has 12.12% bilingual students, 5.68% are in the gifted and talented program, while 10.36% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Seven Lakes High School with 8.72% bilingual students, 20.41% gifted and talented students and 8.83% students in the special education program.
