Waxahachie High School earned a State accountability rating of C (70-79) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 80 in student achievement, 79 in school progress and 71 in closing performance gaps. It scored 77 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

Waxahachie Global High School's one out of seven distinction is in with 25% student progress. Waxahachie High School has no distinction.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Waxahachie High School. They make up for 39.33% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (35.05%), African Americans (21.20%), Two or More Races (3.57%), Asians (0.43%) and Native Americans (0.29%).

The student population at Waxahachie Global High School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 39.02%, followed by Hispanics (38.21%), African Americans (12.47%), Two or More Races (5.42%), Asians (3.79%) and Native Americans (0.54%).

Based on household incomes, Waxahachie High School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly higher at 44.40% compared to 34.42% at Waxahachie Global High School.
