Permian High School's one out of seven distinction is in post-secondary. Midland High School did not earn any distinction.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Permian High School is Hispanics who make up nearly 72.36% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (17.91%), African Americans (6.00%), Two or More Races (2.03%), Asians (0.97%) and Native Americans (0.29%).

At Midland High School, Hispanics make up 71.63% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (19.54%), African Americans (6.00%), Two or More Races (1.69%), Asians (0.92%) and Native Americans (0.07%).

Based on household incomes, Permian High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 68.31% compared to 48.93% at Midland High School.
