Argyle West performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 92 in student achievement, 90 in school progress and 92 in closing performance gaps. It scored 92 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Argyle South Elementary School also performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A. The school posted 94 in student achievement, 95 in school progress, 93 in closing performance gaps and 94 overall in post-secondary readiness.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

It is in this area where the two schools differ. Argyle West’s only distinction designation is in Science. Argyle South Elementary School's five out of seven distinctions are in Mathematics, Science, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Argyle West. They make up for 60.50% of student population, followed by Asians (19.28%), Hispanics (11.60%), Two or More Races (6.27%), African Americans (2.04%) and Native Americans (0.31%).

The student population at Argyle South Elementary School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 49.68%, followed by Asians (24.00%), Hispanics (15.61%), Two or More Races (4.90%), African Americans (4.13%) and Native Americans (1.68%).

Based on household incomes, the Argyle West’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly lower at 4.08% compared to 10.19% at Argyle South Elementary School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Argyle West has 81 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 12.70% of student population. Argyle South Elementary School has significantly more ELLs at 126 or about 16.26% of student population.

Argyle West’s bilingual students comprise 12.54%, gifted and talented students, 8.93%, while 13.48% are in the special education program. Argyle South Elementary School bilingual students comprise 16.39%, gifted and talented students, 8.39%, and 18.19% are in the special education program.
