Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Southwood Valley Elementary School. They make up for 36.66% of student population, followed by Hispanics (35.74%), African Americans (19.63%), Two or More Races (5.21%), Asians (2.15%) and Native Americans (0.46%).

The student population at South Knoll Elementary School is also predominantly by Hispanics at 52.14%, followed by Whites or Caucasians (26.96%), African Americans (15.89%), Two or More Races (2.68%) and Asians (2.14%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
