Iowa Colony High School earned a State accountability rating of B (80-89) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 79 in student achievement, 82 in school progress and 90 in closing performance gaps. It scored 84 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

Iowa Colony High School's three out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics and with 25% student progress. Ridge Point High School did not earn any distinction.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, African Americans comprise the biggest group at Iowa Colony High School. They make up for 40.36% of student population, followed by Hispanics (39.57%), Whites or Caucasians (11.07%), Asians (6.01%), Two or More Races (2.64%) and Native Americans (0.17%).

The student population at Ridge Point High School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 30.28%, followed by African Americans (24.80%), Asians (20.68%), Hispanics (18.80%), Two or More Races (5.05%) and Native Americans (0.21%).

Based on household incomes, Iowa Colony High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 51.60% compared to 21.78% at Ridge Point High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Iowa Colony High School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 14.95% of its student population compared to 4.55% at Ridge Point High School.
