Hidden Cove Steam Academy earned a State accountability rating of B (80-89) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 59 in student achievement, 78 in school progress and 84 in closing performance gaps. It scored 80 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Southwest Elementary School earned a State accountability rating of C. The school posted 75 in student achievement, 81 in school progress, 72 in closing performance gaps and 78 overall in post-secondary readiness.

Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

Hidden Cove Steam Academy's two out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA) and 25% closing performance gaps. Southwest Elementary School did not earn any distinction.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Hidden Cove Steam Academy is Hispanics who make up nearly 93.79% of student population, followed by African Americans (2.88%), Whites or Caucasians (2.44%), Asians (0.44%) and Two or More Races (0.44%). At Southwest Elementary School, Hispanics make up 85.44% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (7.01%), African Americans (4.53%), Two or More Races (1.65%), Asians (0.69%) and Native Americans (0.55%).

Based on household incomes, Hidden Cove Steam Academy’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 94.01% compared to 72.53% at Southwest Elementary School.
