Metro to launch new route in Energy Corridor

By MIKE SNYDER HOUSTON CHRONICLE

The Metropolitan Transit Authority on Monday will launch a new “connector” route serving the Energy Corridor District in west Houston.

The 75 Energy Corridor Connector will run along Eldridge between Interstate 10 and Westheimer. It will provide service to shops, restaurants and other businesses within the district and will connect to bus routes including the 82 Westheimer and the 131 Memorial.

Companies in the Energy Corridor employ about 73,000 people, according to its Web site. Employees who live in the downtown or Midtown areas can connect to the new route by riding the 228 Addicks or 229 Kingsland/Addicks routes from downtown to the Addicks Park and Ride, Metro officials said.

Service will run every 15 minutes from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and every 10 minutes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
