Thinking of traveling over Labor Day this year?  Here is an article from Forbes with some helpful hints on keeping your home secure while you're away.

1.  Tell your friends and neighbors - get a house sitter or have a friend/neighbor check periodically to take in your mail or have someone park their car in your driveway.
2.  Turn of the water so if there is a leak or a break, your home won't be flooded.
3.  Think smart - have your mail held at the post office; put timers on various lamps in your home; install outside motion sensor lights; don't forget to turn on your alarm system.
