Should you Sell over the Holiday Season?  You decide.  Here are the PROS and CONS:

PROS

Beautifully decorated homes inside and out add a sense of warmth and emotion that can positively affect the buyer.

Competition is low - Many homeowners decide to wait until after the holidays to sell, which makes your home stand out during this time.

Many investors want to buy before the year end to reduce liquid assets for tax purposes. Closings tend to be quicker with cash buyers.

Many homes are sold and purchased during the holidays. Serious buyers will continue to search during this time.

CONS

Stringent schedules and office hours for all parties involved; i.e. title companies, appraisers, inspectors -  Many leave for holiday vacation.

Inconvenient showings with family visitors staying for the holidays.

Holiday clutter may turn off buyers.

Tight budgets may influence the offer submitted.

Whatever the decision, be sure to select an agent that will be available and is willing to exceed your expectations.  Enjoy the Season with many blessings the whole year through!
